Stephany Kim
Legal Fellow, Knight Institute

Stephany Kim is a legal fellow at the Knight First Amendment Institute. Before joining the Institute, she was an associate at Kirkland & Ellis in the IP litigation group, where she focused on copyright, trademark, trade secrets, and false advertising law.
Kim holds a B.A. in English and Government from Cornell University and a J.D. from Columbia Law School. During law school, Kim served as a staff editor on the Journal of Law and the Arts and a chapter director of the International Refugee Assistance Project. Kim also interned at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, Kernochan Center for Law, Media and the Arts, and Carnegie Hall, and was the national finalist of the American Intellectual Property Law Association Moot Court Competition, where she argued before a panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
